Aliens crash a birthday party in "Useless Humans"

Horror and comedy, mental plots of science-fiction and dull stupidity. Opposites attract and flatter each other, that’s something we have seen many times in life. And, in movies, when it happens, it can bring some surprises. Because, after all, we must never forget we are talking about a B-movie here.

A thirtieth birthday — and the survival of mankind — are left hanging in the balance after a mysterious creature crashes the party, forcing four childhood friends to save the night. Silly but fun situations galore in this sci-fi comedy that doesn’t really have much to say about the world or high stakes, but it is solid for what it is.

Thirtieth birthdays are always hard – a tussle between responsibilities, expectations, pressure of having stuff figured out, versus the pull of the carefree life. This one takes a turn to hilarity as Brian and friends confront a big birthday surprise. When a mysterious creature crashes their party, this might be their one opportunity to grow up and shine. After all, the fate of humanity rests on them and brings us belly laughs watching their attempts to live up to this more-than-adult responsibility. Predator meets Hangover in this “cast fate to the wind” comedy. Will these grown-ish humans thrive?
