The science-fiction and action adventure 65 (2023) has similarities with other creature survival titles like the Jurassic Park saga, only this time the monsters are not created by humans playing god but it is an astronaut who crash-lands on a mysterious planet only to discover he’s not alone.
In the movie, after a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa, must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.
Adam Driver, better known for being Kylo Ren in the most recent Star Wars trilogy and also present in a good collection of popular films like Midnight Special (2016), Paterson (2016), The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018), The Dead Don’t Die (2019), The Last Duel (2021), and White Noise (2022), and the young Ariana Greenblatt who has already taken part of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Love and Monsters (2020), and Awake (2021), are the main actors in a cast that also include Chloe Coleman and Nika King.
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the tandem of filmmakers responsible for the screenplay of A Quiet Place (2018) and also behind the horror titles Haunt (2019), Nightlight (2015), and Spread (2012), are the writers, producers, and directors of 65 (2023).
The movie is Rated PG-13 for intense sci-fi action and peril, and brief bloody images. It is coming out internationally on March 10, 2023, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
