The Devil in My Heart (2021), also known as Blood Runs Thick, is a psychological thriller surrounding the hallucinations and mental struggles of a young woman after her husband goes missing.
Suffering frightening hallucinations after an attack on her family, Vikki must embark on a journey through her personal hell to find her missing husband and restore her sanity.
This is the new film by Romane Simon, a filmmaker with a long career in short films and TV and that has also been behind feature films like Tragedy of a Mother and Son (2012), Our Way (2014), and Hybristophilia (2018). He has also been the author of the screenplay together with his frequent collaborator Rhonnie Fordham.
The main cast is formed by Emily Killian, Matthew Ashford, Judi Evans, and Alexander Man, with Tom Sizemore in a supporting role.
