Sammy Slick: Vampire Slayer (2023) is a low-budget horror slasher with a dosage of humor that can be a perfect company for a popcorn night of laughs and frights.
The movie is set in the dark and seedy streets of Ybor City, Florida, where Vampire Investigator Sammy Slick vows to rid the city of its blood-sucking inhabitants once and for all. After a dancer from Foxy’s Strip Club comes to him with her suspicions that the club’s new owner is luring men in as potential prey, Sammy and his trusty sidekick Ash set out to prove her right and bring down the vampiress. Along the way, they are met with obstacles, vampiric adversaries, and vampire strippers. As the stakes (and body count) rise, Sammy and Ash must use all their skills and ingenuity to put a stop to the blood trap and finally rid Ybor City of its vampire infestation.
This is the new movie from the writer, producer, editor, and director Christopher Leto after a series of horror films including Die Die Delta Pi (2013), Rough Cut (2013), Crazy Lake (2016), Seeing Evil (2019), The Cheerleader Sleepover Slaughter (2022), and Death Blow (2023).
Klein Wong, Ariella Aegen, Barbora Sulova, D’Andre Noiré, Honeylet Conlu, Anthony Caban, Arielle Fray, and Bailey Hite form the main cast.
