A woman goes through AI rehab in "Dark Cloud"

This flick can’t stand next to the masterpieces of Body Horror made by David Cronenberg but it sure drinks a lot from them. A good mix of science-fiction, a dramatic storyline, and some moments that would cringe the audience. Let’s take a look at Dark Cloud (2022).

The movie centers on a woman who following the aftermath of a horrific accident is voluntarily subjected to artificial intelligence for rehabilitation.

This is the debut feature film of director and producer Jay Ness after a few short films. His frequent collaborator John J. Kaiser has been the author of the screenplay.

The main cast in Dark Cloud (2022) is formed by Emily Atack, Hugo Armstrong, Alexys Gabrielle, Amanda Day, Brittany Benjamin, Toussaint Morrison, and Justen Jones.

The movie has taken part in some independent festivals like Horrorant Film Festival, Los Angeles International Film Festival where it won the Best Feature award, and Toronto Independent Festival of CIFT where it won the August Award for Best International Feature Film. Now, it has been scheduled for a DVD release on May 27, 2022.
