A supernatural and occult festival with horror films “Ouija Craft” and “Evil Takes Root”

Halloween, the night of the witches, the day where the dead can walk among the living once again. Kinda. Today we offer you two propositions, already available on-demand, surrounded by the occult, paranormal, and evilness.

Following the door that has opened the soon release of The Craft: Legacy (2020), Ouija Craft (2020) offers here a similar conjure. In it, after a member of their coven dies in a tragic accident, two witches use an ancient Ouija board to cast a spell that resurrects their friend from the grave, only to find that she is extremely powerful and not herself.

The movie has been written and directed by Aaron Mirtes, the man behind Clowntergeist (2017) and Curse of the Nun (2019). Allison Shrum, Lacy Hartselle, Ivy Rhodes, Mack Bayda, Brad Belemjian, David Ditmore, Bella Martin, Taylor Novak, and Alice Raver form the main cast.

Ouija Craft (2020) has been available on DVD since June 10, 2020, and this month can be found on-demand platforms. Here you can watch its official trailer.

Evil Takes Root (2020) is the new movie from Chris W. Freeman, co-director together with Justin Jones of Mirror Image (2017) and Sorority Party Massacre (2012), this time alone leading the production. He has also been the author of the screenplay together with writer and producer Aaron Mack.

The movie follows paranormal investigator Felix Fojas, who arrives in a sleepy Midwest town to investigate the mysterious loss of his old lover, Amanda, and reconcile sins of the past. He discovers she fell victim to the Batibat, an ancient evil that followed her home from the Philippines. Now Felix must battle the forces of evil and unravel the mystery of the Batibat in order to save Amanda’s daughter, Sarah, from its hellish grip.

Nicholas Gonzalez, Sean Carrigan, Stevie Lynn Jones, John Churchill, Adetokumboh M’Cormack, Constance Brenneman, Reagan Belhorn, Thomas Downey, and Deanna Sherman form the main cast of Evil Takes Root (2020). The movie is already available on-demand, and here you can watch its trailer.
