A stranger turns a family reunion into madness in "The Occupant"

Family reunions, when the family members are living their separate lives, might not always be the most pleasant situation. Especially if the reason for the reunion is not a ridiculous holiday like Christmas but something really dramatic like a deceased parent. And if that is not traumatic enough, let’s take a look at what The Occupant (2021) has to offer.

Also known as The Whooper Returns, the movie story follows the death of their mother, with the four estranged siblings finding themselves fighting for their inheritance and for their lives. But when an eccentric stranger arrives, claiming the house was left to her, they start experiencing strange, inexplicable manifestations, which have malevolent effects on everyone in the house.

This is the solo debut feature film of the writer, editor, producer, and director Samuel Krebs. The main cast for the movie is formed by Rik Billock, Megan Bolton, David Flick, Andrew Ashbrook Freed, Dylan Grunn, Nathan Hollabaugh, Owen Miller, Caroline Nicolian, and Julia Best Warner.

The Occupant (2021) has been part of several film festivals in 2021 including Panic Fest, Big Apple Film Festival, and Romford Film Festival. Now, it is set for a release on March 29th on premium TVOD followed by a full digital release on all platforms across USA and Canada by DevilWorks.
