A series of brutal murders surround the family business of a police officer in the thriller “Saturn Bowling”

Saturn Bowling (2022) is a France and Belgium co-production drama-thriller that follows a police officer investigating a series of murders alongside his sibling’s unusual management of his father’s business.

In the movie, when his father dies, Guillaume, a police officer, inherits the family bowling alley and decides to give it to his half-brother Armand. But the gift is cursed, setting off a series of brutal murders. Both brothers find themselves drawn into a demon-filled abyss and will have to face their tainted heritage. Darkness reigns over their world where the only rules are the rules of the hunt.

This is the new movie of the writer and director Patricia Mazuy, known for the drama and thriller-oriented films Thick Skinned (1989), Saint-Cyr (2000), Of Women and Horses (2011), and Paul Sanchez Is Back! (2018). Her frequent collaborator Yves Thomas is the co-writer of the screenplay.

Arieh Worthalter, Achille Reggiani, Y-Lan Lucas, Leïla Muse, Frédéric van den Driessche, Olivier Faliez, Elisa Hartel, Emmanuel Matte, Nicolas Lepy, and Frédérique Renda form the main cast.

Saturn Bowling (2022) was nominated for the Golden Leopard for Best Film at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere on August 5, 2022. It has also been part of the Busan International Film Festival, Doclisboa, Gijón International Film Festival, Fribourg International Film Festival, Reims Polar International Thriller Film Festival, and Taipei Film Festival.

Dark Star Pictures has set a limited North American theatrical release for the film on September 29, 2023, and will release it on DVD and digital platforms on October 24, 2023.
