The movie centers on Amy and her mother move to a new home. Amy sees weird activity when her neighbor comes and goes at strange hours and she hears screams. Is her new neighbor and her mother’s new love interest the serial killer that’s killing her classmates?
This is the latest work of filmmaker Mark Hartley, best known for his genre-focused exploitation documentaries like Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation! (2008), with Jamie Lee Curtis, Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films (2014), and Machete Maidens Unleashed! (2010), interviewing filmmakers like Roger Corman, John Landis, and Joe Dante, and stars like R. Lee Ermey, Sid Haig, and Pam Grier. The screenplay for Girl at the Window (2022) has been written by Terence Hammond and Nicolette Minster.
Ella Newton, Radha Mitchell, James Mackay, Jackson Gallagher, Simone Buchanan, Trae Robin, Sharon Johal, and Lauren Goetz form the main cast.
After a theatrical release in Australia on August 18, 2022, the movie is now scheduled for a release internationally on digital on November 4, 2022, by XYZ Films.
