A river trip goes very wrong in horror survival “Float”

Naive youngsters going on adventure trips into the wild nature to find themselves unready to face a deadly enemy which could be the woods themselves, nature elements, or some weird forgotten creature. Those subjects have been used so often in horror, and they still do. Because we love them. Horror survival Float (2022) is another example of that.

In the movie, young, beautiful, and full of life, vlogger Kali and her friends are heading to the river for their annual float, but it’s the first time since their friend overdosed and drowned last year. Their partying turns deadly as a sinister paranormal force plunges them into a life-and-death struggle forcing them to face their own fears as they turn on each other, and proceed to die one by one.

This is the debut feature film of writer, producer, and director Zac Locke, who already has wide experience as a horror producer having taken part in titles like The Wind (2018), Bloodline (2018), Black Christmas (2019), Mercy Black (2019), or Agnes (2021).

The main cast in Float (2022) is formed by Kaya Coleman, Ophelia Lichtenstein, Kate Mayhew, Grant Morningstar, Miguel Muñoz, Christina Nguyen, Cristobal Reyes, and Scarlett Sperduto.

Distributed by XYZ Films, the movie is set for a digital release on December 9, 2022.
