Although she is still young, Scout Taylor-Compton has already a very solid acting career in horror movies. She started in the business at a very early age taking part in many TV series and films, but soon she became more and more visible in this genre we adore so much, appearing in titles like Wicked Little Things (2006), An American Crime (2007), 247°F (2011), Feral (2017), Cynthia (2018), and, overall, being the iconic Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009). Always a busy bee, one of her latest works is Star Light (2020), where she plays a world-famous pop star on the run to escape her violent pursuers.
Star Light (2020) has been directed by Mitchell Altieri, who for years was part with Phil Flores of the filmmaking duo The Butcher Brothers, responsible of titles like The Hamiltons (2006), April Fool’s Day (2008), The Violent Kind (2010), and The Thompsons (2012), together with his new partner Lee Cummings. Mitchell Altieri is also the author of the screenplay together with Jamal M. Jennings and his frequent collaborator Adam Weis.
In Star Light (2020), a kind-hearted teenager, Dylan, attempts to save a runaway popstar, Bebe A. Love, from a threatening manager. Fearing for Bebe’s safety, Dylan seeks shelter at a friend’s house, turning a fun graduation party into a night of living hell.

Star Light (2020) was part of the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival this year where it had a quite positive reception where the audience praised its B-movie style and the gory and scary moments indulged with a subtle dosage of comedy. Since early August the movie is available on Video on Demand platforms like VUDU and Amazon Prime. Here you can watch the official trailer for Star Light (2020).
