A meteorite impact in the Arctic unleashes a bloody massacre in "Blood and Snow"

Blood and Snow (2023) is a science-fiction and horror movie that follows a plot in the style of the John Carpenter masterpiece The Thing (1982). Which, needless to say, is great news and an almost assurance of fun and bloody entertainment below zero degrees.

The movie centers on two scientists who uncover a meteorite impact site in the Arctic tundra, but it kills one scientist and infects the other. A nearby base takes in the lone survivor whilst trying to understand what happened. The lone survivor may not be the person they think she is.

This is the debut feature film of the director Jesse Palangio after having participated in the horror anthologies Monster Pool: Chapter Two (2016) and Monster Pool: Chapter Five (2019). Rossa McPhillips and Simon Phillips, one of the main stars in the film, are the writers of the screenplay.

Vernon Wells, of The Road Warrior (1981), Weird Science (1985), Commando (1985), and Innerspace (1987) fame, Anne-Carolyne Binette, Adam Huel Potter, Michael Swatton, Brooke Chamberlain, Blake Canning, Brianna Ripley, and Paul Whitney also star.

After premiering at the HorrorHound Film Festival, Blood and Snow (2023) will be part of the Haunted House FearFest Film Festival, on October 6, 2023, where it is nominated for the Best Horror Feature award.
