When the family structure is broken but a tragedy gets them together again, even if it is for only a few days or just one event, it could be that something really dark sees the surface. Although in the horror and mystery thriller After She Died (2022) the situation is even more sordid than one could anticipate.
Jen’s mother is dead. Her relationship with her father, John, is fractured beyond repair. Her friends, all recent high school graduates, are moving on with their lives and leaving behind the small town they once called home. Jen is, in every sense of the word, alone. That is until John introduces Jen to his new girlfriend, Florence, a woman who looks and sounds identical to Jen’s dead mother.
This is the new work by Sydney-based producer, writer, and director Jack Dignan, also in charge of the visual effects after being a VFX artist in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). The main cast is formed by Liliana de la Rosa, Vanessa Madrid, Paul Talbot, Barbara Bingham, Adam Golledge, Annabelle Andrew, Greg Poppleton, and Mariah Stock.
