The headline of the horror movie 8 Found Dead (2022) reads “A long bloody night from four points of view”. And then, of course, the obvious, “whoever has done it is who survives”. So, here we have obviousness and a perhaps not too scary but annoying starting point if you wanted privacy for your little vacations. Let’s dig more into it.
The movie centers on two couples who head to a secluded desert hideaway for a weekend of relaxation and, unbeknownst to their friends, uneasy revelations. When they arrive, each couple is met by the same eccentric couple, claiming to have booked the rental on the same day at the same time. As two local police officers are drawn into the evening’s strange and unpredictable events, depravity and derangement begin to consume everyone at the house. What begins as miscommunication soon descends into mayhem and bloody murder.
Well, I can already feel the tension of the situation.
8 Found Dead (2022) is the debut feature film of the director and producer Travis Greene who achieved the Festival Trophy awards for Best Director and Best Picture for this movie at the Screamfest. Jonathan Buchanan has been the writer of the screenplay.
The main cast in the movie is formed by Nancy Linehan Charles, Alisha Soper, Jenny Tran, Laura Buckles, Tim Simek, Aly Trasher, William Gabriel Grier, Rosanne Limeres, and Eddy Acosta.
After being in the official selection of Panic Fest and Atlanta Horror Films Festival, 8 Found Dead (2022) is having a limited theatrical release in the USA and is coming out on digital platforms by Dark Sky Films. Watch its official trailer here.
