Okay are you ready for a little bit of CGI monsters and bad funny plots? Because there we go, 5-Headed Shark Attack is coming soon. As the 2 predecesors 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012) and 3-Headed Shark Attack (2015), this new movie will be directed by Christopher Ray. Alumni of The Asylum, he’s been behind other titles like Mega Shark vs. Kolossus (2015), Mercenaries (2014), Shark Week (2012), Megaconda (2010) or Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus (2010). Lots of marine mutant creatures in his resumé.
If the first 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012) had some moments of joy and fun, the sequel 3-Headed Shark Attack (2015) was kind of a dumb watch without many memorable scenes or deaths. You can read our review here. Like usually happens in these kind of movies and their sequels, the surprise and coolness from the first film of the series get diluded in every new title that appears. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to be mistaken. I am the first one to crave for cool monster movies.
As found in the official The Asylum website, the plot synopsis reads: “The beautiful island is home to thousands of species of aquatic life. Now there is a new species: the 5-Headed Shark is all heads and teeth. Shaped like a demented starfish, this monster terrorizes the open ocean before invading the beaches of Puerto Rico, endangering the once peaceful island paradise”. The TV premiere date is confirmed to be 1st of July this year. And September the 5th will be available on DVD and the usual VideoOnDemand channels. The official poster for the film has also been already released.
